iPhone 5 Release Australia
The biggest news today to set the blogger sphere alight is the news of an October 4th release date for the iPhone 5. The iPhone 4 was met with much speculation with the reported issues pre-launch, however the iPhone 5 appears to have none of these issues reported at the moment. New Apple Executive Tim Cook has been apparently referenced in stating this date for the iPhone 5 release. The new iPhone model will be a critical point for Apple as the tech heavy weight faces mounting pressure from Android based phones, RIM restructuring it’s efforts, and also additional patent lawsuits that may disrupt worldwide distribution. Additionally, issues at the Foxconn plant, which is reported to be ramping up production to over 150,000 iPhone 5s each day, could create a back order list and not allow the sales to reach full potential. As always time will tell, however Apple does generally have a reputation of getting releases right and this will be a good test of Apple releasing the product with the new XO Tim Cook at the helm. No word on an Australian release date as of yet.
